Fund your sensory play setup with a grant
You do not always need to stretch your own budget to bring quality sensory play into your service. Every year, Australian early learning services, schools and playgroups use government and community grants to buy exactly the kind of equipment we make. Here are the main options, and how we make applying easy.
Grants worth knowing about
Playgroup WA Toys and Equipment Grants
Community playgroups across WA can apply for up to $7,500 for toys, learning resources and equipment, funded by Lotterywest. Details and application dates here.
Lotterywest community grants
WA not-for-profit organisations, including community kindergartens and not-for-profit early learning services, can apply for grants that cover equipment. See current opportunities.
Community Child Care Fund
An Australian Government fund supporting eligible child care services, particularly in regional and disadvantaged communities, including sustainability and capital support. Check eligibility here.
Local council community grants
Most councils run small community grant rounds, often between $1,000 and $5,000, which services and playgroups regularly use for play equipment. Search your council's website for "community grants".
School P&C funding
For schools and kindy programs, the P&C is often the buyer. P&Cs fundraise for equipment and, as incorporated bodies, can apply for community grants in their own right.
